Wood Shop was my favorite subject in High School, and I guess it never left me. Over the years, I've made everything from birdhouses to bookcases; but I've never considered woodworking as "art" until recently. As a member of Big Bend Arts Council's Gallery on the Square, I produce and display the following items:

Functional oven pulls in the form of fish. These come in 2 sizes:
Large (for full-size ovens)
Small (for toaster ovens)
3-D framed wall hangings

I also have a "Canine Companions" on which I display photographic portraits of shelter dogs mounted on wooden plaques.

I never use paint. All my work either natural or colored with translucent colored wood stain. All wood items are given a paste wax finish.
